To tile this main floor area we were asked to first install Schluter Ditra Heat Membrane. After laying the Ditra Membrane using 253 Gold Laticrete Mortar, we coiled the heating element through the uncoupling membrane in the desired areas. After testing that the wire was working in conjunction with the thermostat we spread a layer of Premium Plus Mortar over the membrane. When that was complete we were able to begin tiling. The tile chosen for this job was a 24×24 large format tile and was set in a straight lay pattern using Premium Plus Mortar. To ensure there was no lippage we used the self-leveling clips over the entire area. After the clips were removed we used a high performance, stain resistant Prism Grout.
