Tile Kitchen Backsplash

Kitchen Backsplash is an excellent way to give your house a more modern look without the expensive cost. No two backsplashes are the same because of the extensive variety of mosaics available to customers at tile and stone shops. If mosaic tile isn’t something that interests you, there are a great many patterns that can be set using different styles of tile such as subway tile, 12×12 tile, or even 12×24 tile!

Mosaic Glass or Natural Stone Mosaic are a great way to add a personal touch to your kitchen backsplash.

Our team has installed tiled surfaces for builders such as Morrison Homes, Lincolnberg Homes, Dolce Vita Homes and many more. We have also had the pleasure work closely with bars to do tile in their place of business. Go ahead and visit The Thirsty Rhino, all work done there was done by our team. We’ve done custom builders home as well, and much more.

Below is our most typical backsplash installation, a 3×6 subway tile set in a 50/50 brick lay pattern. Subway tile provides a classic look for your home without the worry of it becoming dated soon after being installed. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes such as 3×6, 3×12, 4×12, or even 4×16. It can also be laid in a stacked pattern or a herringbone pattern as shown below.

The following picture shows another option, a pencil edge trim, if the client isn’t a fan of the typical metal trim we use on edges of tile.

Aside from subway tile, we often install mosaic tile. Mosaic tile is an excellent way to add some of your own personal style to your home. Whether you’re looking for a bit of sparkle, elegance, a rustic look, or just a standard install there is a mosaic tile for you. Below are some examples of the varieties you are able to have installed.

Gorgeous Kitchen Backsplash

Sometimes clients can find a backsplash made entirely out of mosaic tile a little overwhelming, but dislike a backsplash that consists of only one color and style of tile. In this case we are able to set the backsplash using two types of tile! We are often asked to use a subway tile or 12×12 tile and put in a 3″-6″ insert of mosaic tile to offer some variety.

As shown in the set of pictures below, you are able to use 12×12 or 13×13 tiles for the kitchen backsplash,  commonly used in conjunction with the mosaic tile. This type of tile can be laid in a brick lay, staggered, random, or even diamond pattern. Another type of tile that is able to be set in all of those patterns excluding diamond is 12×24 tile as shown below.

One final type of tile we often use is made of glass. Below are two examples of glass tile we have installed in the past.
