This was a large renovation project we had in Riverbend. To begin we had to remove and label baseboards, rip out an area of carpet and prepare the surface for tile installation. The linoleum in this house was extremely well installed so we didn’t feel the need to remove it, instead we screwed down the floor en sure the plywood underneath was secured and wouldn’t cause any tiles to pop in the future. The ensuite bathroom, main bathroom, kitchen, laundry, bar, and basement bathroom all had the same install. The homeowners asked for a 12×24 tile laid in a 70/30 pattern and set with 253 Gold Laticrete Mortar. For basement floors we typically use our self-leveling clipping system to protect against lippage across tiles because foundations aren’t as level as we would like. After installing the flooring areas we moved onto the kitchen backsplash. We were asked to install a 2×20 glass tile in a random pattern with darker pieces scattered throughout. To finish the job we used a high performance, stain resistant Prism Grout.
