This was a very exciting job for us, our first exterior installation! The clients were looking to add some character to their historic home, and opted to have us install a clay tile on the front steps. We began by installing a waterproofing Schluter Ditra Membrane using 253 Gold Laticrete Mortar. While installing this tile we had to ensure that each tile has a slight incline so that water would run off to the sidewalk instead of pooling and damaging the tile. The tile was laid in a straight lay pattern using  Premium Plus Mortar. with each step having a special stencil surround.  Once installation was complete we grouted it using a high performance, stain resistant Prism Grout.
